I assume it's a typo and it's meant to say 'worldly'.

If it was a great goal you'd expect the word 'unworldly' to be used though.

It was popularised by kenneth williams and some other bloke doing the characters Julian and Sandy in round the horne in the 60's and Morrisey in the 90s going on about 'palare' and the like in his lyrics.
