Do you want to play football for Swindon?  If so, read on...

Swindon Town have had an internet supporters football team since 1997, and every year since then we have entered the prestigious event of Worldnet.  Worldnet is a tournament for fans - see http://www.boocock.net/ifa/fanbantanet08/ for details.

The tournament will take place in Leeds (at the Uni at Boddington Hall) on the weekend of 18/19/20 July.  Games will be played on the Saturday and Sunday, but we need to be up there on the Friday to drink beer at uni prices   , and outsing random Scottish teams in the bar.

Games are 11 a side and 15 minutes each way.  We should play either three or four matches on the Saturday (group stage), with Sunday being the knockout stage.

This is a call for players of all standards to stand up and be counted for Swindon Town. If you are free to play, the cost for registration and accommodation for 2 nights B&B is £80.

I'll happily answer any questions, Tails plays each year and can probably answer some too.  Bennett and Crouchie have expressed an interest so maybe we can get a good TEF presence.
