Someone facebook (i know) reckoned Chorley was only a chief scout and didnt get involved in negotations.

He was literally director of football and that was his job.

Correct me if im wrong, but some peoples lack of knowledge is scary. Someone didnt even know who ZA and AH were the other day and said they werent bothered about their involvement!

It is a worry that we were desperate for just £25,000. And that was a while ago, too.

Just getting worse by the day.

Most of the people that tell you you're wrong to be concerned about the club have no fucking clue who Zav or Hart are and to ad to it, they're pretty proud of their ignorance and blind loyalty.

The irony of course being that these are usually the type of people that bleat on that they've been watching Town since nineteen canteen blah blah and surely must have had their hands burned in 1990 etc. Not to suggest anything that serious is going to repeat itself but (and times have changed) by not being aware of what's happening behind the scenes can be 'dangerous'.

Probably the kind of people that were happy we were only demoted one diviision and it was ok because everyone else was doing it and we were just unlucky to get caught.

Not sure that's the full picture. Reed had played 20 games that season, he wasn't a key player but he was plenty involved. He also left four days after Lindsey and before Morris was appointed - he couldn't have not been in the managers plans because we literally didn't have a manager at the time.

Obviously more a case of staying at Swindon wasn’t in his plans…

Not sure why some of our fanbase are making such a fuss about selling a player for 25k who was going to leave for free in 6 months, who wasn’t a key player in a team that was going nowhere in a nothing season.

How is the alternative of keeping him & paying him for another 6 months and him leaving on a free the better option here?

SSP on co co-comms for Mansfield v Colchester overseeing upcoming medal recipients Reed & Flint and the much missed Iandolo who, in a sad indictment of the regime would walk into the current team as first choice in more than one position.

Creditable point for Col U who looked much better than on their visit back in Jan.

Another win for Lindsey at Crawley.

They're going to make playoffs. With a bunch of rejects from non league and a manager we thought was dog shit.

It does make you wonder.

Apparently almost all the players loved playing for Lindsey when he was in Charge at Town.
