Title: I hate this feeling............
Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, December 18, 2004, 11:33:57
........when you know there's a game on, and not only are you not too bothered about not going, but you're not too bothered about finding out  the score.

This is because its a foregone conclusion.........had the same on Wednesday.

The last time I had this feeling was in 99/00, as we tumbled abjectly out of the then Div 1.

Oh for a battling 0-0 bore draw.

It's about time we had another 0-0 draw and I'd quite happily take that today.

I'm tempted not to listen to the game today :/

i know exactly what you mean. I had that feeling last aginst ipswich, when we got hammered and johnson scored a hatrick. I fear i have this feeling again today. I hope different happens though...

Boxing Day fixture at  P/Boro now becomes absolutely crucial,  a relegation 6 pointer, even at this early stage.

They hover just above the bottom 4, and a win for them puts them within 4 or so points of us.

Gould has gone from them I think, which is good news as we know from bitter experience that he knows how to defeat a King side.

A point would be acceptable as it would keep the gap.......the show at Rushden on Boxing Day, last season though is more likely, as the players looked like they'd been to a few parties, and I don't suppose King does anything to discourage it.

Problem comes when you get a run like we're on, that you can't see where the next win is going to come from.......to some extent we masked the poor away form, when the home form was decent, now that's gone.
