Cooper set to learn fate over manager's job

CARETAKER manager Mark Cooper will today meet with the Swindon Town board to discover whether or not he will be offered the job full-time.

If it is Cooper then the timing will be a bit odd in that 1. it will mean they had made their decision to appoint him before the Shrewsbury game, so why not just give it to him beforehand? and 2. after 4 games I don't think any of us believe we've seen enough of him to decide either way, and since he seemed happy enough to carry on in the caretaker role, what's the rush?

Would be very surprised if it isn't him though.

Surely timing is based upon one of Power's forays into the country from his tax haven? He can't come over very often, so I suspect today's meeting was tied into other business he has to do in the UK.

(Of course, he could just be video conferencing into the meeting)

I remain convinced that they have someone else in mind but I suppose it's a matter of whether they can appoint them and if nnot? Congratulations to Mark Cooper on his default appointment!

What did Luongo just tweet? The emoticons only appear as boxes for me.

Whatever the emoticons are though, 'changes' would suggest that Coops is not getting the job.

I replied with a 2pac quip in the previous thread.

It applies here too.

Or that Luongo is moving to a different club? (Might tie in with the Hollands rumour)

Changes followed by three 'thumbs up' - whatever that means.

Hopefully new manager and Mass isn't moving on.

Well, over the past few days on that Rumours site there have been definite new managers, such as

Ardiles
Pulis
Pearce
Peter Reid - Monkey's Heed

If he leaves Spurs for us permanently, we'll be able to get another of their kids in on loan...

I'd be astonished if we signed him permanently when we already have him on loan. Why would we want to pay all his wages when Spurs are presumably footing at least part of the bill?

Got to be referring to the new manager.
