Not sure if I've misread something somewhere or it's been lost in the rush tonight but did I read somewhere that there was an issue between PDC and McCormack?

Yep, he stripped him of the captaincy after he went to the doctors, supposedly.

Ardiles talked about revisionism a page or so back.  I can say that, for my part at least, it is not that.  It is that there has been profound loyalty from club staff to the club for as long as PDC was in charge.  The sense of relief now though is tangible.

McCormack missed a training session and was stripped of the captaincy as a result.

the supposed reason for missing the training session was that he had a doctor's appointment.

i'd be very surprised if he's not captain for tomorrow
