He's constantly offside, has no pace and no left foot what so ever. Don't think he'll even get near to double figures. Also he runs in the channels so isn't in the box regularly enough!

we looked strong in centre of defence, and centre of midfield was solid too (pook played well and adams was good) but wings, and full backs looked suspect to me.

comminges came on and looked very lively, a fans' favourite already i suspect.

Not a bad game, had chances to win it, also had chances to loose it, but thanks to the woodwork and phil smith got a point.


P.Smith- Top performance, not much could have been done about the goal, but made some great saves to give us the point.
Vincent- Not impressed today, was a bit all over the place at times.
Aljofree/Ifil- Both very solid and some very nice footwork from the beast.
Smith- Same old, no troubles with him really.
Boob- Had a good game i thought, some good runs, tracked back got stuck in.
Pook- Didint notice him playing for the firat part, but he got stuck in, and played well, no complaints about him really.
Adams- Didint know he was playing full stop, so dont know if he was good or not.
Roberts- Worked hard, good runs, unlucky with his shot that hit the bar, well taken penalty.
Peacock- His usual self, hard working, running his bollocks off.
Blair- Well, i think its all been said before, he tries, but when it comes to shooting he hasnt got a clue.

Arrietta- Looked promising today, should be a good signing
Comminges- Fantastic, doesnt take any shit, good foot work
Mo- Again, looked livley for the 5 min he was on, got some pace and skill will have to see what he's made off.

i think northampton have got a long hard season ahead.

I think that's a pretty fair summing up. I think Adams and Pook are the kind of players who the fans will come to appreciate over time by performing consistantly without ever being spectacular.

See, there's been a bit of a rise of positivity about the new shirt recently. Football shirts aren't about how they look on the players, it's about how they look on the fans. I have to say, without some forwards we'll have as frustrating a season as Northampton.  I can't believe the stats about shots, thought it was a timid affair in terms of real chances.

The Minge looked quite tasty though, would like him to start.  All in all we were a bit like Cuprinol really, did exactly what it said on thetin.  Strong, solid, hard to break down etc etc, but very little to wet the juices going forward.

I think this is pretty accurate to my views on the game.

as much as i'm not a fan of pook, i have to admit, he had a good game yesterday, so after my rant about how he played last weekend at exeter, well done pook  :shock:

if there was noticeable negative from yesterday, other than the fact we haven't got a 20+ goals striker (yawn),and we didn't score from open play, i wouldn't say, we looked the fittest of teams imho. That'll come with games tho so not overly concerned by that and looking forward to seeing some 85-90 minute winners during the season.

i heard some fans talking about that and the police went in with peper spray, the man talking about it said someone got smashed over the head with an ash tray and some other people hit with bottles, not sure how true it all was though, just thought i'd tell you what i'd heard about it.

Big game atmosphere must have got to them i suspose.

There will always be a small element looking for trouble, having a few beers and watching teh game is what footy is about.
