I personally think he's a pile of WANK! Useless player doesnt seem confident in what he's doing,doesnt seem to know what he is doing half the time, not much good for doing anything - doesnt add anything going forward and only a half (if being generous) decent defender.

He appears to sulk around the pitch when he fouls people and gets a bollocking from the ref, if he sulked waving his arms annoyed cos heath took the ball from him tonight - he jst stood there annoyed?! YOU STUPID PRICK! DO something useful!!

I hated Duke at times but on his day he could be half decent all round,im begining to hate Smith just as much if not more than duke!!

i didn't think he was that bad. doesn't hit me as a great player but good enough for me.

Not seen Nicho for a long time but on his old form he was better than what I saw from Smith tonight

He certainly adds more to the team than Smith, attacking and defending!

From what I've seen he is a lot better than Nicholas and also better than Duke.

Nicho's long throw is also a big help when Fallon is playing

I thought Nicholas was awful against Oldham to add to his very poor pre season, whilst Jack Smith was much better and had a decent game against forest. Definitely stick with Smith.

Think he is ok personally. Shows that we don't have a clue what to do at throw ins though now that we don't have a long throw specialist in the team.

I concur. Last night was an abysmal team performance with very few (any?) positives to be taken from it. He was solid defensively against Forest and knew when to get forward. I also think he looked assured when shoved into central midfield alongside Whalley against Oldham.

I like Jack Smith, and i'm glad we signed him. Always puts the effort in, even when the defence and midfield around him seem to be asleep.

I thought he wa s alright against Oldham, looked like he wanted to get the ball down and showed some good touches.  Last night, like the rest of the team, he was terrible.

Not the time for the axe just yet, a bit of patience and he'll be good enough.  Nicho's a good player to have as back up, I reckon the next time he gets a call up he's gonna take his opportunity and show us what he's made of.

Thing is Nicho wont get another opportunity - seeing as Smith is somehow first choice left bk, and king tinkered with the team last night, surely the pefect opportunity to give nicho a run out?

yea how many positions has he played in already? it's alot to think about, if you stuck him at left or right back REGULARLY he would adjust and settle down- he's been okay so far.

The thing I do liek about Smith, is that he's not a hoofer, always looking to play it to feet.

Smith has been possibly our best aquisition over the summer so far. not that theres been much competition for that accolade.

Smith is a better defender than Duke, no questions

Duke was so much better going forward though, and his crossing ability with both feet was so much better than anything anyone has crossed in this season.

We'll miss Dukeys service this season
