Lot of ifs and buts there Reg, you can do that to compare any 2 teams in the league. If we got the 3 points we deserved from humping Wolves etc etc

27/28 games is enough of a sample size to establish that 2 teams 17 points apart aren't too close in standard.

Teams in the same league, are already sorted by standard....they're in the same league, because they are of a similar standard.

According to your proposition Stevenage, even further adrift than Bristol City, couldn't possibly have beaten us 2-0 a fortnight ago, because they aren't too close in standard

We all know that any team can beat any other in 1 game. After nearly 30 games the league table is now struggling to lie.

Your logic, Reginald, is simply baffling.

What you talking 'bout Willis?

Of course the table shows differences, but the point I'm making is that they're not that great...we've played Stevenage 3 times this season 1 win 1 draw 1 defeat.

OK sometimes you get a side, say like Hyde in the Conference, who've had financial problems lost all their players etc, so are clearly in the wrong Div and aren't competitive and get stuffed more or less weekly.

However most of the teams in Div 3, have comparable budgets, with the exception of Wolves and a few teams with a bit extra, so adopt a strategy of signing free transfers, loans with perhaps one or two bought for small fees.

They've just made a cracking signing in Simon Moore, one of the best in league last season but still dislike him immensely for his time wasting and overall twatish behaviour against us in the numerous games we had against brentford

One season wonder Smiley

Frank Fielding was good signing for them... Derby County no.1 to Bristol City no.3 within about a year.

Ouch.

Looking at the state of Pourtsmouth and Bristol City I think the moral of the story is 'Don't sign David James'

That's a pity as the one they have had this year has been outstandingly awful from what I've caught on tv.

They will beat Carlisle today. Licence to print money if you back that.
