Tenner on Parkin Whoever it is, I’d prefer to announce them in advance but I’ve had a couple rearrange/disappear just when recording is due so don’t want to put too much pressure on them. It’s always funny that before recording they’re ‘not sure if I’ve got anything to say’ and then they absolutely fly once we start.

That's the thing, for those of us not familiar to the inner workings of professional footballer even what seen mundane to a player can still be quite interesting

Just listened to Morshead, really good episode (for sound quality & content). Interested to hear him be almost, almost complementary about Jed.
But yes, Morshead II needs to include the Troy Archibald-Henville beef(burger).

There were several at the time suggesting Jed was well-intentioned but incompetent rather than sinister.

Weren't they the same people who insisted he couldn't be an asset stripper as we didn't have any assets to strip? Shortly before he forward sold the catering for the next decade. TBF, I'm not suggesting he wasn't incompetent, but it's not mutually exclusive. He was just as incompetent at being a shyster as he was at everything else

On another note, wonder if old Stevie Murrall would mind doing a podcast once he comes out of clink 😎

If memory serves, you scoffed at those suggesting Jed et al were asset-strippers? (Apologies if wrong)
Not quite, I just refused to jump to assumptions without actually knowing either way. The same I do with Power now and the same I will with whoever comes in after that.

I actually registered on this forum to tell people to give Jed a chance as I was fed up of the constant negativity at the time. The moral of that story was learn to keep your opinions to yourself Freddy

It would be a case of mistaken identity, and a travesty etc etc, and he'd sound believable

Continuing with the class of 2013, I wonder if a certain cruise ship singer would be willing to spare an hour or so. Who knows, he may even treat us to a rendition of Wise Men Say....

Listened to Morshead one today.
Take back what I said about him, came across very well and doesn’t hold as much of a grudge as I thought

This is basically like Simon Ferry's Open Goal thing? But a Swindon twist. Nice one. See if you can get Ferry on? Unless you already have?
