Attack, score within the first 15. Sit back. Sub flair players off for the likes of Henderson. Keep inviting pressure. Germany score in the 94th minute.
Lose on penalties.

A repeat of an earlier meeting will do me. The one from 1966 * yes I know it was against West Germany.

Not exactly on form at the moment with their last 14 games being DDWDWLWWLDWLWD
They have 6 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats scoring 29 and conceding 20 (including 6 to Spain) in that run.
There is no doubt we are harder to beat now but its hardly exciting with 4 1-0 wins and a 0-0 in the last 5 games, unbeaten in 9 and just conceding 1 goal in those games too.
In our last 23 games we have won 18 of them, drawing 1 and losing 4 times scoring 64 goals and conceding just 11 times in that run.
Thing is the Germans always raise their game as the Scots do against us which makes form go out of the window a bit.
I think 1 goal will settle the game or possibly penalties AET. I doubt we will have a better chance of beating them than we have now.
We can all see that Gareth likes to set up quite defensively so I think he will go with....
Pickford Walker Maguire Stones Shaw Phillips Henderson Sterling Foden Saka Kane
Not sure Grealish was quite consistant enough to start even though he set the goal up in the last game he didn't do a lot more for me.

He’s available, but wouldn’t haven’t trained all week so would be crazy to start him.

Difficult one to call, Germany have generally reacted well to going a goal behind, but have been defensively very poor indeed. England have been compact but have not really been tested as yet. I'm going to go with an old cliché and say the first goal is critical - whoever has to chase the game, the other team have players that can hurt on the break. 1-0 or 2-1 either way, but it could easily go to extra time and further.

Same team except Grealish has to start for me. Foden benched. Not brave enough to make a prediction but as others have said elsewhere, if we can get past Germany there are no other teams we should be afraid of on our side of the draw.
