Smelly people. Shopping last night and seemed to get the same person trying to get wherever I was looking. They stank too

2013-01-17 Andrew Black puts Swindon Town up for sale The last 10 years could have gone very differently if Black and co held their nerve for 4 more months. A sliding doors moment.

Still struggle with how a successful businessman can make that call at that moment.
Also struggle with how we fell asleep and let Jed and Power worm in and the preceding years where people believed he was a thoroughly good bloke.

Perhaps that board would still be here if their chairman hadn't been such a PDC fanboy that he never said no to him. The way he was spending Black's money in that couple of seasons was unforgivable. Sanctioning 30 plus signings and loans in the 11/12 season, then allowing almost all that squad still at the club by the summer to be listed, released or sent on loan and a load more to be signed was taking the piss and I can understand why he called it a day. Admittedly the signings leading up to the 12/13 season looked to be a bit less random than the previous years some of them even managed to start more than a dozen games for the club. But he was still completely profligate with the resources at the club, disposing of players seemingly on personal whims. Caddis being the most obvious example. I'd always assumed based on the timing, that PDC had pitched up with his list of January reinforcements over the Christmas period and Black finally thought enough was enough.

Over the past few years we've had the inconvenience of BT & Virgin installing Fibre now have the paths and roads dug up by City Fibre. Why there's enough choice out there and they're all similar prices and only so much business to go around.

It's what you get it you have a free market economic solution for something that's a natural monopoly. We could have a really complete 5g mobile network, but instead we've got four different networks, none of which cover rural areas well whilst urban areas have masts everywhere because O2, Vodaphone, Three and EE each have their own.
