I'm dragging a Spurs fan and a Liverpool fan to this one. Any recommendations for a pub to watch the game after and get a bite to eat? Nearer the train station the better.

Legends Lounge had been opening after games and lets be honest, you won't be out the ground till 5:05 at least the way things are going.

Failing that the tap is about half way.

I was thinking of the tap but wasn't sure they did food. I suppose almost everywhere does these days. I don't care if we miss the start  Grin

Cheers

The drink valley opposite sir Daniel. Good microbrewery pub that does sports and decent curry.

Yeah heading towards the station definitely limits the options.

Doesn't have to be that near the station really, I just know what I'm like with too much fresh air after a skinful!

The Drink Valley looks a good option, thanks molepar.

The drink valley is very good. Quite a few town fans head there before games now. Prices are reasonable, I drink Paulaner (German Pilsner) which is excellent & costs £4.20. The owners are very friendly & can recommend other beers to drink, he does brew his own. I can't speak highly enough of the place.

If we can get through Saturdays game undefeated then we equal the all time Swindon record for longest unbeaten starts to a season, this dates back to 1995/96 unde MacMahon when we went 9 games unbeaten.

A Hull City    1-0 w
H York City    3-0 w
A Carlisle Utd 1-0 w
H Oxford Utd   1-1 d
A Brentford    2-0 w
H Chesterfield 1-1 d
H Bradford C   4-1 w
A Bristol Rvrs 4-1 w
H Rotherham U  1-0 w

A run that saw us sit 4 points clear at the top of Div 2 on 23 points.

Before we eventually lost 3-4 at Wrexham which was our only defeat until the 25th November a 0-1 defeat at Shrewsbury.

That was our last defeat that calendar year, in fact until mid January, a run of 13 wins, 8 draws and just the 2 defeats scoring 39 goals and conceding just 15 in the process which included, Wrexham accounted for 27% of that total.

We won the league that year on 92 points, 9 points clear of 2nd place Oxford and suffered just 4 defeats all season (another club record).

On a more recent run. When was the last time we won 4 homes games in a row?

We managed 5, twice, in the Wellens season, not got beyond 3 in any season since then as far as I can see.
