Don't take it out on vic. He was generally quite good today I thought.

Definite improvement on last time I listened. Managed to follow the game and work out which team had scored.

In other news, Oxford are having a good crack at trying to leave the League again at the first opportunity.

The majority of League 1 is pretty poor defensively this season.  Peterborough and Franchise both had 4 put past them again today and there were quite a few other teams conceding 3.

Wilson being interviewed on the radio talking about naiviety with the defending and 'not shutting up shop' after the third game.  Heard it all before and slightly bored with it.  Anyone else think that Peter Shirtliff is doing a pretty poor job as defensive coach this season.  Maybe he needs to be replaced?

Defensively we are an absolute laughing stock, a complete bag of shite, and frankly if (when) we lose Charlie in Jan, we become relegation candidates if we keep leaking so many goals because we're not gonna get goals to bail us out every week.

Massive massive problems.

Did Wilson just say the defence will get better with more games?! How many more games are they going to have?

Maybe on tuesday night from what I read the other day.

Sounds like Notts County are in a mess, hopefully 3 points on tuesday night.

Yes, No and No in that order.

Yes I am bored with the "naivety" talk.

No I am not sure Shirtliff is doing a bad job and no I'm not sure he should be sacked. The problem for me is the personnel. As a trio Cuthbert, Morrison and LJF aren't good enough. Cuthbert was good enough last year, but hasn't been this year. Lack of form or lack of Greer?

We can't keep playing with this reckless abandon, much as it's been our hallmark down the years.

The latter.

Partially. Mostly even.

Last season we only had two scorers and Ward banging them in. This year we have added a bit of attacking flair but at the expense of being solid.

I guess what I am saying is the problems aren't all down to Greer leaving, but also the 'balance' of the team isn't the same.

Also wonder if team spirit is the same, heard a couple of players had handbags at training the other day (I bet that happens most weeks though)

On a brighter note Charlie is climbing the goalscoring charts. So if you have a bet on..................

Wright-Phillips   Plymouth   10
Austin   Swindon   8
Mackail-Smith   Peterborough   8
McQuoid   Bournemouth   8
