Its just a bit like bandit country and so off the beaten track its like its own principality - having worked in West Cumbria for 4 years generally its very nice but incrediby insular, you would not believe the number of people who live up there and have never been to the lake district (seriously!) for instance. Plus I worked in Workington and lived in Cockermouth and there is a huge amount of suspicion between Allerdale and Copeland folk.

What the hell is Chris Martin doing in the Scotland squad for their friendly v Nigeria on Wednesday? Wasn't he Norfolk born and bred? Ok well Scottish dad according to Daily Record http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/new-scotland-star-chris-martin-3598947Judging by his quotes in said article he really loved his time with us “I was always confident in my ability to get back playing at a higher level. Last season at Swindon was a low point for me as I’d gone from a Premier League club, Norwich, to a League One side. “That wasn’t good and if you’d asked me if I could imagine a Championship play-off final at Wembley, I’d have said you were mad.”

Yeah, but you'd expect him to be the best fucking toyboy teaboy (stupid autocorrect) in the world if that were the case. As it was he seemed to sit in one corner of the office and piss in the coffee. I think he made a good cuppa one, but it was soon forgotten.

And unfit and overweight, and a million miles from a first team place in said Premiership. I'm not always one to sing Dux's praises, but without PdC's extreme fitness regime, there's a good chance Martin would never have got the move to Derby. Instead of whining that he's not in the premier league, he might have shown a bit of gratitude to our club for reviving his drifting career. He got much the better end of that loan deal.

That's the problem with loans.
For every Pritchard and Ajose there's a Martin and a Ronan Murray.
Don't give a shit about him TBH

I agree. He didn't shine here but I think it's fair to say that coming here helped him get back into a position where he could start to perform, which he has done. I understand it was a low point for him but a little acknowledgement for the role his move here played would just be courteous.
