DAFUQ, was Yasser thinking?

"Here's one they won't put on my Iraq fans site", possibly.

Who's the black lad in goal for us towards the end? Trialist? Youth? Is Aaron "The Schlong" Moody still on the books?

Edit: answered my own question on Flic -  Lawrence Vigouroux from Liverpool, might join on loan.

Yes, clearly Scunny have a bigger budget as they could afford Andy Williams and we can't....our budget is probably comparable to a top ten Div 4 club, certainly < Oxford.

Does it matter?  Not really, as long as the template produces results.

He did but I think reg is stating that they COULD afford him as he was close to signing for them whereas we couldn't afford to keep him.

Promising James Brophy seems to be learning our "defence optional" approach judging by how he simply stopped tracking Sessignon's run and left him with an easy tap in for WBAs 4th

Saw Cooper out in Old Town last night. Sat drinking a glass of red on his own, deep in thought.

My mate had a quick chat with him and he said something about being 2 or 3 first team players short but no money to do much about it.

Exactly.....I think a lot of our fans don't get how small our budget is.

A core of our own players on sensible wages, then top up with loans, for which hopefully the loaning club covers the lion's share of salary.

Not sure how the youth set up is funded these days....in the recentish past, a lot of it was funded by grants etc....YTS schemes, that sort of thing.

Certainly back in the dark days the early 00's, the bulk of youth development came from grants.   Anyone itk about present practice?

Terry Cooper called it one of the smallest budgets in league 1 last year didn't he.

Yet the expectation seems to be we will be challenging for promotion. We may, but I'm not sure what this is based on!

The replay looks like it was Kasim and Belford vs 3 strikers, terrible decision when he should have gone forwards, or at least look around before passing back.

Rangers won't want him if he plays like that will they Tans? Wink

Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner took to Twitter to make his feelings known about a challenge he suffered during Tuesday night’s friendly.

Without identifying the perpetrator, Gardner raged about the incident that will see him miss the start of the new season.

His message read: "I received an outrageous tackle in the game against Swindon on Tuesday, it was the worst tackle I have ever been on the end of.

"Thank god that my legs are so strong that scan results have shown there was no leg break or any bone injury.”

Bye That would be the challenge in front of the linesman and the referee didn't give a foul for...
