Should provide good cover For Paynter and Austin and if one of them suffers a dip in form then we have a ready made replacment.

clearly means Austin hasn't been offered a new deal and will go at the end of the season!!!! personally think it's a good signing. as others have said a dip in form with either Austin/Paynter and Pericard can come in. Also adds competition for places

I'd be disappointed if I was a Carlisle United fan too.
I don't care for the whole football fan dick size competition - we're bigger than you and all that.
There's only ten points between Swindon and Carlisle - that's not a massive step up is it.

Trevor Benjamin is only 30 now - so he would have only been about 26/27 when he played for Swindon.

Only 30. Jeez, he looked and moved like he was about 37 for us.

Well happy with Pericard signing! If he can rediscover his Pompey form he will be quality at this level.

Have to say Vincent Pericard is a name I recognise but I don't have a clue about him as a player. What are his attributes, quick or (presumably) big and powerful if Trevor Benjy comparisons are being made? Should fill the gap when Paynter goes to Rovers
