I'm amazed it's still neceessary. The Government already has all the information it can possibly need (together with a lot of other info that it doesn't need) on each of us. The only positive aspect for me is that, for example, I've been able to locate the house that my great great grandparents were living in in 1891 - and quite like the idea that my descendents will be able to look me up in the 22nd century and beyond.

Me neither. Perhaps she feels like a virgin carpenter. Or maybe she has a bun in the oven and now has an overwhelming urge to ride a donkey to Bethlehem. Who knows?

I think it's a reference to Mary & Joseph's enforced journey back to Nazareth as a result of the Roman census. In Judaea, you had to return to your home town for the census.

considering the huge cost,is it really necesary or justifiable? look at the cuts to public services, and job losses.yet money can be found for this.
If if 0.5% of households dont complete it and i imagine that is a conservative estimate, with fines of £1000 a pop that is enough to probably turn a nice profit on the exercise. There are plenty of bone idle people in this country who will think the fines are just a threat.

Oh right, so JFW only has to travel to Calne by donkey then. Actually I think donkey may be the normal mode of transport down there. I'm amazed it's still neceessary. T.
The TV 'experts' were talking about this. They thought it maybe the last one.

the cost of chasing those up,bringing them to court, and the inevitable low fines wont make a profit. i dont remember reading about cases going to court last time either.
