one postive thing from lasts nights debacle is that the boards hand is now being forced into acquiring us a new manager, before saturday.
The manager we end up with will be our first real indication of what we are dealing with here, a bunch of amatuers out of their depth or a serious statement of intent...

re Nick Watkins...I mentioned about him earlier (after hearing him on radio 5 live)...a credit to the club.

"own a hotel in Lincolnshire"

Just don't read most of the TripAdviser reviews of said hotel. Yes, I know people can be vindictive and all that on TA, but if you were really into looking after the customers you'd do something to try and answer the complaints.

As for gigs at the CG....I know more people who've lost their shirts trying to be 'promoters' (rather than getting a proper job) than any other line of business.

I don't think they appointed him in the end.

So he's definitely offski? This is a massive blow, I trusted him and hence thought we'd at least have one pair of safe hands while he was around.
Spoke to him last night, Think he could be gone by the end of today. With new Season tickets info due to be a announced very soon the board need to make their next couple of decisions positive ones.

I also spoke to someone else from the club last night who said that a lot more than just the four have been at the club this week being introduduced to members of staff. They said the group were businessmen who came across as very professional. After the press conference I was feeling bemused but after hearing more positive things last night I feel more confident.

I was speculating to a mate earlier, before seeing this, that Black had more of a problem with PdC and Spencer than he did with STFC. While I think it is unlikely he would get involved again, it isn't necessarily that far fetched.

He wouldn't.
Black spent best part of 18months trying to get out of the club. No way is he ever getting involved with a football club again.

Ridiculous reporting by the adver Zipped

If the alleged funding is similar to before then why not just move on?

I was wondering for a while if he might be the mystery backer. His problem seemed to be with owning the club and all the crap that caused for him one way or another. Don't recall him passing any other negative comments.

Seems a weird story for the Adver to run though unless they heard something.

Ha ha, only just clicked the link and didn't realise it was an adver back page when I first read the later part of this thread. So is the story based entirely on that tweet from Jed then? Oh dear...
