1.King persevered with Hewlett til it was too late
2 King took too long to realise Smith was one of the best players at the club
3 King did not persevere with Fallon after he scored 4 goals in 6 games'
Pretty much the manager's fault I'd say

Smith's been playing over half the season, we haven't had anyone that much better than Hewlett available and Parkin and Fallon don't combine that well together.

I don't think any of those factors have made much of a difference.

I'm not going on some anti king rant, but points 1 & 2 clearly had a significant influence our season, especially with migz injured for 4 months.

I don't want to go on about it though, there was a bloke sat in front of me on saturday that was going on about Smith not playing the first half of the season. He was the biggest nerd ever, I thought he was gonna start speaking Klingon at one point.

That bloke was one of the few highlights of Saturday to be honest. Pretty much everything else was an anti-climax  Crying

I'm Ron Howard, woo, eat my dirt Whits!

anyway back to football  Cool

I think Dazzza's got a point about needless tactical tinkering, King simply couldn't/wouldn't go for a settled formation and stick with it. He'd change formations, players, positions etc for no reason at all totally at random. I can't understand that.

I stand by it.If Smith had played the first half of the season INSTEAD of Hewlett things would have been different.and Fallon's form towards the end suggests he would have been more successful than Slabber if given a decent run.
