The 'out' was a loan, so I don't know if that counts.
He went on loan to Oldham, who were managed by a certain John Sheridan at the time.

John Sutton was here for less than 2 weeks.
Nicky Summerbee's 2nd spell (which I don't think was a loan) was extremely short too.

Summerbee’s 2nd spell was just the one game I think. If I remember rightly it was a 2.1 win at home to Nottingham Forest.

Thinking back to DJ’s transfer, how it played out and caught everyone by surprise.. Plus how in his last game or two for us, he clearly wasn’t trying very hard and probs sick to death of the dinosaur barking at him every 5 minutes on the touch line.. DJ must of orchestrated his own transfer via his agent was touting him around with a price tag..? Seems a little suspect to me..

Isn't that literally the agents job?

Charlton wanted DJ in the summer but they had their own takeover issues at the time. The agent would have known of their interest so didn’t have to work hard to find him a new club

It was indeed. That was the same season Forest dicked us 7-1 at their place. That was a depressing watch that day

The weekend was fun. Had friends who were at Uni there at the time so was a good laugh. The game on the other hand....

Same that game was brilliant for just how much below the level of Forest Town were. Wes Morgan played for Forest that day I believe? Was a cracking day out despite the loss, I seem to remember several tongue in cheeks chants towards Christian Roberts. Did Lee Peacock hit the bar from memory? I'm sure someone did when it was only 2-1...could have been defining but unlikely, Town were a bit shit but we embraced it.
