Nobody noticed the Ref last night, what a gulf in class to the League Two standard we are used to.

JJ missed the best of the Man City comments
‘Bunch of wankers Oxford. Plastic Spurs wannabees. Can't stand the twats.’
Why Spurs?

Thought we have a good account of ourselves against an awesome team. Sang my heart out and struggling today! Great to catch up with some old friends and sink a few pints. Pity we gave the best team in the UK a two goal start. That said, all gave their best but sad that Gladwin is so off the pace. The five minutes from the pen save to our goal and their fourth, was worth the admission fee. Great noise! Thought our crowd were loud throughout and never stopped backing the team. My brother witnessed the incident after the game but never mentioned racist stuff. Maybe an individual rather than group thing? Looking forward to incoming players and a full-on promotion push. Cheers

I enjoyed last night’s game The gulf in quality was as expected - with a collection of free transfers and young loanees against players who cost multi million transfer fees. But we tried to play properly, kept a good shape and gave everything we had. Also pleased we scored a goal. We also had other moments too. The only criticism from me is that the previous attempts at short goal kicks hadn’t been learned from and led to the second goal. It was clear Ward didn’t want to do the short routine (he is less comfortable than Woolacott with the ball at his feet as we saw in previous games) and Conroy seemed to insist. From Garner’s reaction at another following the 2nd goal I though this was poor on field leadership and decision making. They have some quality in depth - Palmer was excellent. Let’s get 3 points from Mansfield now.

Agreed, Conroy seemed to insist on playing the goal kick short and then immediately got stressed by the press and played it straight back to the poor keeper. Feel sorry for Ward as he clearly wanted to hoof the gk. School boy standard football but glad they made the mistake in a dead rubber like this and not vs Mansfield.

So why did we have two defenders for the short goal kick
PS don't expect an answer

Hate to be the miserable one, but I was in hospitality last night and Clem and Rob Angus came over to our table for a chat. Someone asked Rob if there was any chance of Man City waving the gate money and the reply was ‘no chance’
On the City forum a few reckon they have waived there share, but even if they did it wouldn’t be made public by either club as it’s against FA rules so any deal agreed would have to be denied by all parties.

This is a good honest City Blog, with fair praise for the Swindon players and fans. And some action filmed from the away end. Great view of Town End after the goal ! Worth a watch if you have a spare 20 mins
