Someone sign up and tell him we just have a shit pitch because we had to sack our alcoholic groundsman for stealing in the till at the bar and the new guy isn't as good.

How the other half live.

I hope you can substantiate that claim with more than hearsay fella

Just some perspective, I recall some years ago that Man Utd's youth team played a pre-season friendly against Swindon's first team at The County Ground and won 3: 0.  I think that we were in League 1 at the time.  Don Rogers should give the pre-game team talk on Saturday.
I think you are thinking of us playing Man Utds U23 side, last night was the U18s, so nowhere near as good a level as the U23s TBH.

It was thought still a great result.

Isn't it common knowledge? Thought it was already posted on here if I'm honest.

Not trying to dig at him either.

I don't think it was what you allude to. I believe (and I don't known this for fact) he had an alcohol problem which he sadly couldn't overcome and went to get help.

Jeez the Man Utd fans taking this defeat to heart one even suggesting we knobbled the pitch on purpose, purrrlllease!

Pretty standard for Utd fans, their 90's success has produced a generation of fans that act like thay are still a superpower so any loss must generate a conspiracy.  Ollie at the wheel and all that..

Apologies if untrue. Thought I was working off something that was true and generally known.

Thanks, that makes sense, but shows the quality that should have been on show.
