Wish him all the best if he does move. I'm just surprised. He could do better than Salford...not least with ourselves. It's a step down, which ever way you look at it.

Surprised that if he does go he didn’t leave for Bolton in the summer. Fantastic stadium, large fan base and a real footballing club with Doyle as well!
Something must have drastically changed in a short time.

COVID. Or rather the reality that it's going to be around for the whole of this season and quite feasibly into next. Means that things like large fan base and fantastic stadium don't count any more, it's a huge leveller for tinpot clubs with wealthy owners.

Solicitor's fees I have always found solicitors' fees to be reasonable and value for money.

He would be daft to turn it down.
Get to sleep in your own bed every night, see the Wife and kids every day (assuming that’s a plus point)

Nixon latest
Salford. Want to agree deal for Richie Wellens immediately. May mean he is pulled out of Swindon game at Plymouth tonight. This has moved fast ...
Enjoyed this from Batch on twitter I thought he didn't like football with no fans in the ground? https://twitter.com/batch_2001/status/1323584895667572737Excellent work sir!

My only concern is that he has a better idea of the likely outcomes of any ownership issues/effects of long term BCD than we do? Anyway leaves after just under two years in charge Played 83 Won 35 Drawn 17 Lost 31 Win % 42.2

I suspect that most of us saw that this was likely to happen for the reasons mentioned above.

Meh.... hold him in the same regard as Flitcroft, just going after the convenient easy option and only happy if he gets money thrown at him.
Haven’t had a manager since McMahon survive the season after getting promoted. Sturrock, Di Canio and now Wellens all gone mid season.

On Saturday's showing I am coming round to thinking that this season could actually be relatively successful regardless of whether the current manager stays.
