I thought Superbad was terrible, did watch the hangover last night with trepidation after some on here didn't like, but i thought it was excellent. Also watched Coco before Chanel which was pretty good.

Benjamin Button is waaaaaay too long. Good film just about, when done in three sittings.

The Hangover, Superbad, Pineapple Express, Zach and Miri... are all basically the same.  They are all terrible, puerile and not the least bit funny.  Only the thick and the very thick find them funny.

I enjoyed Superbad, didn't like Pineapple Express. Thought Knocked Up was ok. I haven't seen the others, but when it comes to comedy the only criteria is that it makes me laugh and I'm not going to be a snob about it.

Incidentally I watched Bad Santa again. For some reason the thought of a badly behaved and foul mouthed bloke in a santa costume is hilarious.

I don't think I'm being a snob about it - I have watched all of the films in question, but I think my remarks do stand the test of truth.  Not one of them made me laugh.

Admit it though, you look down on people who enjoy those films. I bet you drink loose leaf tea as well.

Not at all, each to their own, different strokes for different folks.  I just call it as I see it (and apparently I use cliches too).  And don't fuck around with stupid tea - Tetley tea bag, boiling water, drop of milk - done.

I just really didn't like those films.  Is that OK, or do I need to pretend to like one of them to be in the cool gang?

I don't consider myself thick or really thick and I enjoyed Superbad. How can that be?

Billy Shears has quite clearly stated that I must have the IQ of an amoeba if I enjoyed it, so I must have.

I think I may be thick but I'm not intelligent enough to work out if I am.

I like Superbad, but i thought Pineapple Express was terrible. Haven't seen the Hangover, but i'll give it a go at some point.

Franklyn, interesting concept and quite watchable, but still a bit strange. 3.5 / 5
