Such a sweet victory. I don't care massively for their team, but the arrogance of some of their fans riles me.

I suppose we should be grateful for one of England's biggest clubs to give us game time and thank Darwin that our players aren't overcome by the spectacle of Steve "special needs" Cotterill's sexy rugby hoofball.

What was the deal with all the folks who got delayed getting into the Town End at the start of the game?

Oh, and how fucking thick do you have to be to smokebomb your own keeper?

I was in The Legends for a swift last guzzle and wasn't allowed to leave at 2.45 cos the City fans were being escorted past.

Why the fuck should home fans miss KO because of the away fans

It's nowhere near as bad what the City fans implied.

Thompson didn't need to fist-pump the away end.
Fielding didn't need to sprint the whole field.
Flint didn't need to be a dick (he had a reputation of being a dick when he was at Town)
Branco, a former Non-League player, enjoying a win in front of 10,000. Nothing wrong with that.
Whatever happened in the tunnel means City players were waiting for the Thompson's or obliging in the scuffle.

Something out of nothing but we'll probably be fined and docked 100000000000 points.

That was a real Derby.
When goal went in I had to grab the seat as I went dizzy Smiley
Least it shuts the moaners up a little longer.
We wore them down at the end......and one goal was always going to be enough.
Fods had nothing to do however you can see a good side in them to be honest.
Still buzzing....Cotterill is a twat.

would now be a good time to point out some of the hysterical overreactions last week?

Haha, I went to hug my old man and ended up accidentally hitting the guy sitting next to him in the face.

Enjoyed that a lot today, great derby and a deserved win.
I know they played the game with 10 men, but we were without our two best players, so fuck 'em.

According to City they could've sold out their (correct grammar) away allocation twice over yet apparently it's our "cup final". Are all Bristolians this stupid?

and our game at Ashton Gate was their highest home league gate last season I believe...perhaps it's their cup final

I thought Freeman was very good for them, always used the ball well, quick and put in a similar performance to Emmanual-Thomas past year. Wilbraham was also impressive with his back to goal and in the first half, they defended very well as a unit and we didn't threaten their goal.

The second half, in a similar way to the Preston game, was a different story. Smith should have put us one up when well placed 10 yards out, but his scuffed shot was deflected just wide. Fielding was solid - a lot of shots straight at him, and did well under a number of crosses into the box - but was beaten when Byrne's deflected shot hit the underside of the bar. Whilst all this was going on, Wes had very little to do. Smith took his goal superbly, with help from Byrne who was superb when he came into the middle - well done Cooper. I'm not sure anybody called that one before but it worked. Wilbraham should have buried the equaliser, but it wasn't their day. I fully expect that they will be up there. To have Pack, JET, Cunningham et al on the bench is impressive - but as has been mentioned, it is to be expected when they're playing in a division of such comparable mediocrity.

Let's be honest, Luke Freeman joining City was a great disappointment. Looked great in a rubbish Stevenage side.
