We've got 22 players at present, 11 are youth players or have no league experience.

10 players have left and only 2 have come in.

I really hope PDC and Wray have something incredible up their sleeves.

If on the 6th August we still have a squad this small I will hit the panic button, but there are 6 weeks till the season starts.
Pre season doesn't start till the first week of July so 2 weeks till the players can actually do anything anyway no need to panic yet

Pre season starts next monday the 27th

usually its fitness work for the first week or two so no huge loss, but you'd like to think most of them are there for the italy trip which is on the 4th

Thats the main one, the trip to Italy. As with a new squad a bit of bonding and gelling will be required.

8 players left from one of, if not the worst town team of all time.

Not a bad thing in my opinion at all.

I'd certainly like two new keepers ...

I wonder if Paolo's grasp of English isn't too good, and he thinks he's signed up to manage a team in one of these five-a-side tournaments    Eek

The way the last few days have panned out, you do wonder whether there is about to be a mass unveiling of players at a press conference soon.  I do suspect that Di Canio (from whom we're heard next to nothing since his appointment) has a few surprises up his sleeve.  But, then again, you would also expect at this stage that there would be a number of 'Swindon linked with...' stories flying around.  And there aren't.

Don't forget that at season's end we had Wray talking up Bodin and his use of youth team players. At the time, I just thought of it as one of those things that chairman say.....but maybe he meant it. A. N. Other looks a good bet for our squad at the moment.
