Title: TEF Prediction League 2012/13
Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 14:50:11
Yes, I finally got my arse in gear and entered all the fixtures.

As per usual:

The league can be found here (http://thetownend.com/samdygray/PredictionLeague/), or by clicking the link at the top of the forum.

It is seperate from your forum logon. Anyone not registered will need to register as a new user. Everyone who entered last season has been entered for this season by default.

Rules
- Users will be allowed to enter predictions up until 5 minutes before kick-off.
- Predictions can be changed at any time, up until the 5 minute cut-off.
- You will NOT be able to see other users predictions. This will make for more fair game play.
- Only one registration per email address will be allowed.

Scoring
This will be exactly the same as last season:

- 1 point for correctly predicting the number of goals for the home team.
- 1 point for correctly predicting the number of goals for the away team.
- 2 points for predicting the correct outcome (e.g. a home win).
- 2 points for correctly predicting the exact score line.

Good work, cheers Sam.  I'm not expecting to beat my 3rd place of last season.

It is, just need to select this season from the drop down box.

Your very clever use of a drop down box for the seasons confused me :)

Oh yeah, didn't notice that. I've just deleted last season's league, so should default to the new one now.

Is this working yet - I have logged in but just get a blank screen ?

Just want to see my name near the top, before I sink like the proverbial Poxford  :D

Sorry, I hadn't updated with the results from Saturday and last night.

ScillyRed, must be ok because you're showing as top of the league now!

Suggs, there should be an option to reset your password if you've forgotten it. I found that my browser was trying to remember my password from the main TEF forum and use it for the Prediction League, so if you have different passwords for each then try the other one!

If you use Firefox as a browser then go to Tools > options > security, then click on saved passwords it will then open up a window displaying the relevant websites and user names there is also an option for showing passwords, then thinking on it, will only probably only show them if you've clicked the remember password prompt when visiting the website. Hopefully this info may be of help to someone.  :D

Thanks - working now (basks briefly in the glory) - never watching any matches always helps & being a pessimistic old git  :(

Could you also put a bloody great reminder on the front page when you have done it so I actually might remeber this year!
