Yep, we'll have the odd major collapse without doubt. Our tail should wag though. The good news is that Siddle has been out of form of late and he's been their most consistent quick over the past few seasons. If we can limit the runs of Clarke and Watson whilst Swanny takes care of their lefties we'll beat them. Cue Jimmy.

Got all of my tickets through for The Ashes this summer now (Day 1 Trent Bridge, Day 2 Old Trafford and Day 1 Oval) and I am fucking buzzing for it! Fingers crossed the weather is like it is right now!!!

Team for me next Wednesday:

Cook
Root
Trott
KP
Bell
Bairstow
Prior
Broad
Swann
Finn
Anderson

12th Man-Bresnan (who will come in for Finn at some point during the series)

I think that's the team in everyone's heads. I'd choose Onions over Finn but only just.

I've had several complaints from friends because I'm getting married on Day 3 of the Third Test and the opening day of the football season.

I have Ashes tickets for that day but am looking to swap them for the Friday/Sunday.

Any takers please get in touch.

It's only so I can go to Peterborough, not your wedding Costanza, so don't worry.

First (Thursday) and fourth (Sunday). Not entirely sure how many at the moment!

Edit: Never book tickets at 2am- the Sunday ones are in the alcohol free bit. Fuck my life.

I'm off to Surrey v Middlesex t20 after work this evening. Sell out at the Oval which is nice.

I don't know much about first class cricket but looking at the team sheets it looks like David v Goliath. Surrey's team looks like it could easily compete in the IPL. I'm living south of the river so will be supporting the brown caps.

Nice to see that the 'best bowling attack in the world' could only take 15 wickets against Worcester.
