"In Discussions" doesn't always mean a contract will be offered at the end of them.
the discussion probably went along the lines of - if you've not got a club lined up by the time the season starts we'll have you on a 2 year deal for £500 pw. |

Good luck to Hunty, wherever he ends up, Garner didn't seem to rate him much but he was solid at RB and LB and rarely let the team down but rarely excelled, just got his head down and did his job, fille din at CB a couple of times too fairly well but height obviously an issue there.
I hope he gets a good deal at Crawley or Orient and good luck to him, no hard feelings at all for wanting a good deal.

Yeah was exactly this. Solid player and a good pro, sometimes our system didn't favour him though. |

I'd never heard of Sakarya before. It's in the North West of the country on the black sea not too far from Istanbul. The football team itself (Turkish football teams just tend to put 'spor' on the end of the place they are from FYI) are in the Turkish third division but have a decent sized stadium and got to the Super League in 2006 only staying there for 1 season. It's a little bit of a strange transfer really. |

You will have a much better idea than me, when I looked Wiki suggests that they have gone up to Tier two of the Turkish pyramid this season? Agree the transfer seem odd not clear if they have paid cash or Motherwell released him? |

Based on the reaction of some of our fans to every bit of news that comes out, it was obviously just PR. There was always a reason that every other player had been released or offered a contract and Hunt was "in discussions".. in this case the only discussion was an exit interview methinks, albeit no doubt amicable. I think the player and club expectations were poles apart. |
