Huddersfield have bid accepted for danny ward
Surely this is our chance for revenge - we nip in and sign him from under their noses.

Did we actually put a bid in for Ward? I know it was talked about, but I thought that was all it amounted to in the end?

Not as far as I'm aware, we looked at signing him on loan again but he had half the Championship after him. Then tried again in January but he picked Huddersfield instead. There was never any mention of a bid being made by Swindon.

Terrific signing for them, it's a shame more players at his age don't move for regular football in the lower leagues rather than rotting in the Premiership Reserve sides chasing a first team position that will never come.

We are in the market for a striker. Would Di Canio have him I wonder? Probably not

Just been on the rumour mills and found this, not sure whether there is any truth in it whatsoever or if it is just tripe
"Sam Parkin is set for a sensational return to swindon. Parkin who has has a tough time since leaving Swindon has often expressed a desire to return. Unwanted at St Johnstone, Parkin took the initiative and decide to ring Paolo Di Canio personally, expressing his desire to play for Swindon and that he is determined to be a hero once more. Paolo was impressed by this and has decided to offer Parkin a week long trial when the squad return from Italy. These revelations will be revealed by the swindon advertiser later this week.

Sounds too plausible actually to be true...so probably concocted by a journo with too much time on his/her hands.

I read that Parkin thing on that bloody transfer rumours site the same one that the Marlborough FC Chairman allegedly wrote on the other week. I would probably say the chances of the Parkin rumour being written by any journo would be zero
