Class from Wakeling. Giving ball away so cheaply. Hutton’s gotta keep getting at them on the right

Credit where it's due, efficient use of space to park the coaches on the roof of the stand.

Just caught up!

Hospital passes between Clayton, FBT to Khan who tries to dribble out from the box and gets tackled by 2 strikers, one of whom whacks the ball against the bar!

Still strange how little we are trying to get it down the right

Salford's defensive shape really is excellent, they shepherd our passing back into our half again and again without really having to put too much pressure on, just make the easiest ball a ball backwards and watch us go.

We don't usually need much encouragment to play a backwards pass.

They transition well too. There is a gaping hole in the middle of our midfield.

Oh fuck FBT's hurt himself and immediately flagged for treatment. Looks he might have got stuck in the pitch. Real worry that.

Without much beef, Wakeling wins more 50/50s than he has a right to.

Season truly over if FBT is injured.

Collectively that's a fair summary of the match - we look to have the more talented players, they look really well organised and drilled and play as a team well. Probably not a huge surprise we're short on that front considering we've had the new manager only a few weeks, but it's clear how much work there is to do on the training ground when you see how Salford perform as a unit.

Half time 1-1. We've not been terrible, but there have certainly been a few heart-stopping moments defensively. Our goal was a throwback to the month or so where Hutton looked a class above.

We seem to have a different physio. Wasn’t it normally a young lady with a ponytail?
