Title: Wonder what Dennis not so Wise is thinking tonight?
Post by: redunderthebed on Saturday, May 5, 2007, 21:35:26
I can picture the scene he will be sat there in some dingy dark bedsit in Leeds with a gun pointed at his temple mulling over wheather to pull the trigger or not. He has humiliated himself by leaving us for Leeds now we will  be starting off next season level with them the only difference is we are 35 million quid better off. :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

I'd guess it goes along the lines of...

"Bet they wouldn't have done that without me..."

More fool you Dennis! Enjoy working under unbearable pressure next season. Not only are you down but I firmly believe you will stay down. Every game you play will be played like a cup final by your oppo.

The price of ambition eh? :soapy tit wank:

who cares. he's not our problem anymore. we've a better manager now anyway!

the way he left was dumb but i think it's the natural progression of managers to move to a bigger club (don't even argue leeds aren't bigger than swindon).

life goes on, and hopefully we beat them...but to bring it up on so many fucking occasions is getting tiresome

I don't give a shit about wise anymore. After the overwhelming feelings from yesterday, nothing like that seems important anymore. The fans were amazing, the players did us proud. I'm proud to be swindon.

I'm sure Wise left for other reasons.

I'm none too fussed about him and Poyet, but the Leeds doing crap is ace

would be brilliant if you beat Leeds next season.. twice  :D

To see Wise's fan after leaving Swindon for what he called 'a bigger club'

They might be a bigger club Dennis but youre playing in the same league as your old team  :soapy tit wank:

Let's think about it,............. promotion with Swindon or relegation with Leeds United......I think he is thinking that promotion with Swindon would have been more enjoyable, and that he will always be remembered for being the manager associated with Leeds United's fixtures against Port Vale, Northampton, and the local derby against Huddersfield.

Wise was probably thinking ...

"I think I'll give Robert Bayly his full debut today, he won't do anything stupid."

Wise is merely a small part in our history, 15 league games in a 46 game campaign is nothing.

I was more than annoyed when he and Poyet jumped ship to Leeds United... But regardless of the shambolic happenings behind-the-scenes at Swindon - I firmly believe that from the very start it was Wise's intention to join Ken Bates at Leeds whenever the the post was made available - Power's departure just made it easy.

Other than when he brings Leeds or whoever he's managing to the County Ground the "banter" will be most appropriate - but it's really time to move on.

As far as I am concerned, Wise did a good job for us in the short time he was here.

He got the players fit, organized, brought in a pair of absolutely cracking keepers and generally left us in good shape.

And we got Sturrock who is a much better long term prospect than Wise. I think we did rather well out of the whole thing!

I'd agree with that OST.

Agree with OST here.

It is however quite funny thet Wise couold have been promoted into League 1 with us rather than relegated with Leeds and would have looked a whole lot better

I think that we might be missing a factor here.

Wise moved after the season had started. So he had done his team building groundwork and pre season training, which to my mind was very very good. Where we were after the first half a dozen games?

Sturrock picked up the pieces and did his best with what he was given, even though it didn't fit his model.

Wise was in the same boat when he got to Leeds.

Yeah, we can slag him off for moving (although I don't really blame him after finding out what a twat our General Manager is) but he was doing the biz when he was here.

I'm not the biggest Sturrock fan but i'll give him a clean slate seeing as he will be able to bring in his own players for next season instead of inheriting somebody elses squad.

He's a fucking Jock - be reasonable.

He's used to sub-zero temperatures and driving rain.

Please.

Aha!

Gotcha.

He expects the gentle south west to be warm, temperate and moderately dry.

Fuck it, I'm begging to sound like John Ketley.

(Is a weather man, is a weather man...)
