Won the fa trophy today and are in a strong postion to get back into the football league. Looks like they have began to turn the club around and their fans are due a bit of reward after the struggles of recent years. I remember a lot of town fans marching with them on one of our last visits to the racecourse.

On a separate note chester are 16 points clear of conference north and another fan owned club getting back to where they belong.

Yep....brilliant for Wrexham.

Not sure if Chester could make it back......be nice if they did.

On the flip side what has happened at those clubs like Histon and former non league bigwigs....Kettering.

With Chester they are still getting 2.5k fans in conference north so they should be a force in the premier. Seems to be a lot of money and big clubs in the conference nowadays so no easy ride back to the league. Haven't heard of Kettering in the news since gascoigne was sacked!

Watched the game on tv, Wrexham deserved winners, some good saves by the Grimsby keeper in normal time and some good penalties for Wrexham to win it! Think the crowd was around 30k as well?

I remember offering to march with them on that occasion and basically being told we weren't wanted, so fuck them...bunch of cunts.

Or Darlo. Wonder what sort of crowds the reformed club are getting?

Didn't realise they reformed as Darlington 1883. Fans took too long to find a new name so fa chose it. Getting highs of 1500 which is very impressive! 9th tier

This is their manager, I'm assuming after the match.

Kettering are rock bottom of the Southern Premier League, and are going to be relegated again this season. They left Rockingham Road (which is a shame) to play at Rushden and Diamond's ground, but i don't think they could afford the rent so the latest i'd heard is that they were ground sharing at Corby Town.

They would be better starting again, it may be painful but as Chester are showing, it's probably better in the long run.
