Football specials in the late 70's / early 80's were considered the lowest proirity on the rail network. They used to wait in sidings, whilst coal trains overtook them! As a result train journeys were stretched to unbelievable amounts of time, as much as 7/8 hours each way. No catering, no heating, toilets over flowing with piss and shit. No wonder fans used to get a bit bored and smash the fuckers to smitherenes!

add us 4 to the total so far - by the way, isn't that an old photo? I thought they'd completed the new stand now, so no need for that temporary job in the photo at the top of the the thread?

I could be wrong but I believe the new stand is called the Brian Moore stand and is now open & unusually house the away supporters, with home supporters also being in the same end, unless their is a big away following.
Fuck knows how all that works but who gives a sht as long as its got a roof over it.
