It just takes one good run which we're definitely capable of.

Which bit is absurd? Rich saying that if x, y and z had played in all the games this season then we'd get promoted. That's absurd. I can accept that we may have conceded fewer goals and as a result picked up a few more points if Nicho was playing left-back instead of Duke, but he's not going to turn our season round singlehandedly. He's played in every LDV game so far and scored a cracker at Exeter - so watch out for him NOT being in the side at Southend. Sadly I think you're correct

there's no point of paying for slabber's wages if we are not going to give the kid a chance. He might be as good as lee holmes he ain't costing us shit all spurs are paying his wages

I'm a maybe. :|
We are only two points off the same total we had exactly 12 months back.
That said we did have a game in hand and the 6th spot and final playoff position that we occupied at the time is currently at the 44 point level this season.
I had actually attributed a lack of a partner for Parkin as one of the main reasons for falling behind this season. In reality we have actually scored 6 more goals this season but we have conceded 9 more the majority being at home.
We arguably have a far superior defence this season to the one that started last season. The permanent addition of Ifil and O'Hanlon should have in theory plugged the gap.
Surely Gurney's departure can't be the difference?
The inconsistency seems to be the root of all our evils and while you can't attribute all of that to King, the constant tinkering hasn't helped at all.
Changing formations, dropping players and injuries haven't helped develop any sort of stability to build on.
If we get back to basics in the old 4-4-2, restore a consistent back four, get Migs back into the side and get Rory plundering a few goals until Roberts returns then we may be in with a sniff.
