Unbeaten, but are we better off? Nope, we are now worse off than we were before boxing day.

We NEED to start winning games ASAP. Drawing with everyone gets us nowhere. Chesterfield and Swansea are OK, but Hartlepool are a team we really could have done with a win against. Gillingham away is a vital game.

Despite being unbeaten we are worse off 5 points from safety, we need to start winning games and soon.

At least we have a 12 day break now

Blackpool was the one we really should have won.

Its all relative though Tails, weve come out of christmas on the up. We could (maybe should) have been buried by now.

But we had a tough few games over Christmas, and looking at our predictions before this period, most had put down 2-4 points, so 5 isn't at all bad really. I agree that we have to start winning soon, but draws against the better teams in the division is no bad thing, as long as we beat teams around us....

6 points  Wink

Rather draws that defeats and we're on a nice run, but take the others are stilling moving away from us, team like Bristol City will win 3-0 one week and lose 3-0 the next. That still makes them better off than us if we draw both.

The fact is, one loss in the last 13 but all the teams are still pulling away from us isnt good.

See, better than most/all of us realistically expected.

Yeh its a difficult one really.  The next few games are crucial.  We are on a good run, but as dv85 points out, the teams above have been getting more points then ourselfs, and as a result, we are 5 points behind safety.

Draws are good away from home, but at home we need to pick up maximum points

No doubt Iffy will get new loan players.  Lets just hope they all adapt to the team quickly.  Lets hope Fallon and Cureton start playing well together.  Our defending is getting better now,  we just need to start scoring more

This league is pretty pathetic though (quality wise). Bristol City after their mini run are now only 9 points off a play-off space after going bottom briefly.

That's the beauty of it being so close, Shitty will leave us behind, but because they are beating everyone, more teams will drop into trouble.
You need to consider that teams not far away from us (like 12-20) are losing even if Shitty are winning, so one of them will fall to the foot soon enough.
We just need to keep picking up points, at least we're not losing, it's good for morale - for both the players and the non-pessimists of us fans (which are a rarity sadly)

The next few weeks are critical both on the loan front.

If somebody said we would be unbeaten against Colchester, Swansea, Hartlepool and Chesterfield I would have been delighted.  But is 6/12 points enough? Well, if we were  to maintain that form until the end of the season we would have 55 points. That may be enough. Big IF though.

I think we need to start creating more from open play, particularily at home. Fallon feeds off scraps. But we need to unlock cureton's potential. Hence why I think loan signings will make or break us.

We got 6 points in 4, not bad considering the opponents. City only got 2 more than us.
