can't be bothered to read any of this thread but has anyone noticed the guy with the white mans afro is on the give blood ad and not so far mentioned as being an actor in space cadets.

Would like to see a picture of that if anyone has it.

After watching tonight I'm more convinced than ever that they're all in on it and will come out at the end and go "got ya"

If not then they really are thick and guillable.

What a pile of shite!

I sat up and watched the live feed on C4 last night as I was in a poker tourney and I cannot believe anyone would think they are in a shuttle looking at that.

I think they've clocked it as well if they got any more casual and relaxed they'd nod-off.

Sideshow bob in all his glory, he 'gave blood' to Gordon Ramsay

You could also say though that 'extras' are exactly the kind of people that want to be on TV by any means.

Personally I wouldn't be suprised if it was real and the contestants are thick, or if it was fake and they are all in on it. I just don't see what is gained by the latter.
----------------------------------
--Ways to 'reveal' the truth

Star Wars Ending: How about the earth blowing up, then out of the dust clouds and debris comes the Death Star. The DVD release shows the same thing happens again with updated CGI ('special edition).

Scooby Doo Ending: The actor blows it and JV enters shaking head and muttering "would have got away with it if it weren't for you meddling actors"

Red Dwarf Ending: Normal Lovett appears on screen as Holly, "April, May, June, July and August fool".

Space 2001 Ending: "The earth turns into a baby" which apparently signifies something deep and meaning about creationism and sparks years of debate on whether it is genius or plain boring.

Planet Of The Apes ending: Martin Keown, Ryan Giggs and Richard Keyes hairly greet the returnees.

Italian Job Ending. They pretend the craft has landed teatering on a cliff with the cadets sliding towards the doors. Then one of the russian piolts says " Hangonski Comrades, I've got an Idea".

if they really are falling for it they should send them to 'space' and show the earth blowing up out of the window.

I said that to my mrs, the pilots should be taken ill, or go out for a space walk and never come back, then they'd think they were up there all alone.  now that'd make decent tv.

I don't know if this has been raised as i haven't read the whole thread.  But do you think this may be a wind up on the viewers i.e. they don't really think they're in space, and the whole joke is on the public.  It's crossed my mind.  That take off was barely believable, no g-force, just a few vibrations.  Surely they don't believe this, i think they're in on it.

It has been, but I still don't see what is in it for C4. I guess they save money because they don't really have to go to great lengths to make Ipswich look lile Russia.

But some things don't stack up.
- Why didn't they film on location in Russia, assuming they got permission?
- Why do the 'real' cadets act like they are in on it? Can anyone be that stupid or is the power of suggestion that strong?

I won't be suprised either way.

I'm kind of enjoying it, but I don't really get the 'joke' - haha, fooled a bunch of twats. So what.

I saw that Blood Doner advert earlier, recognized him after OR had mentioned it earlier.

As Dazza said as well, they were too relaxed, the girl especially. And I wouldn't have thought the pilots would have been so chatty etc.

I'm pretty sure if I had been on that I would have sussed it ages ago.

its obvious isnt it? or at least it should be! they only did 3 weeks training surely you would need a few years? how can channel 4 afford to send them into space? wouldnt it need to be sanctioned by nasa or mea or the european space agency or something? those people are so gullable if you ask me

I think chances are C4 have bitten off more than they can chew.

The three chaps that are not actors must know especially after that take-off.  It looked tamer than one of those simulators you see at fairs and they all commented on how smooth it was.

Plus the fact that they could not look out into space because of that moth makes must have raised suspicions.  And even I recognised the gimp at the press conference from MTV.

It's either incredibly shite or there's going to be some sort of reality show style charade where one of them goes nuts and eats the others.

Why don't C4 make the pilots go on a fake spacewalk and never return to the shuttle.  Then we'll see if they believe it or not.

The screenshot of earth through the windows really helped enforce the illusion
Charlie summed it up "Even though I know that this is not real, everything I'm seeing is forcing my mind to think that it is. I am in space at this moment"

I think they'll pull it off, but anything could go wrong...

I'd be going nuts if I was up there and had a view of earth like that.  They were just like "oh wow, that's impressive".
