hmm, not really much consolation on second thoughts...

still got no feeling in my toes.

should wear two pairs to games in the winter! one thin pair covered by a nice thick pair. no cold feet then  Cheesy

I thought alcohol warms the blood?  I wasn't too bad actually!  I could feel my feet and I wasn't as wrapped up as most!  Prob all the jumping around etc!  Plus as I don't smoke, I didnt have to take my gloves off to have a cigarette!!!

 You get a short term effect, but then you lose body heat.

 Which is why you're told never to drink alcohol in a survival situation....don't think Vale Park, despite its harsh environmental conditions, counts as  such though.
