Swindon Town Football Club have introduced a number of new initiatives to increase attendances at The County Ground with the five fresh schemes listed below.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Stratton Bank Schools Scheme
vs Barnsley Saturday 26th November 2005

For the visit of Barnsley to The County Ground on next Saturday 26th November, 15 local schools have been offered the opportunity to receive up to 150 tickets FREE of charge which they can then sell on to their pupils and their families for £5.

The school will then get to keep the proceeds of any sales meaning that each school has the chance to generate up to £750 which will be retained by the school and used for sports equipment, books or anything else that the school requires.

The two schools selling the most tickets will then have the chance to nominate 8 pupils each to take part in a shoot-out on the pitch during the interval at the Barnsley game. The club hopes that this scheme will introduce new young supporters to The County Ground experience and utilizes the vacant space on the Stratton Bank.

This initiative will be repeated for the visit of Chesterfield on Saturday 25th March.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Football4Free

Swindon Town FC have distributed 30,000 leaflets to 80 schools in and around the Swindon area.

Under 7's can watch the Town in League One action for FREE. The Nationwide Stand, Arkells Stand, Town End and Family Enclosure are in use for this scheme.

If you would like to register your child in the Football4Free scheme please contact the Ticket Office on 0870 443 1894.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Festive Family Fun!
vs Blackpool Saturday 17th December 2005

Blackpool are in Town on Saturday 17th December which is the last home game before Christmas Day.

We understand that this can be an expensive time of the year for all families and prices around the ground have been reduced to encourage as many supporters as possible to attend.

Tickets prices have been announced as the following:

Arkells/Nationwide Stand
Adults £15
Concessions £5
Children Under 16 £1

Town End
Adults £13
Concessions £5
Children Under 16 £1

The Stratton Bank will be opened for the game if there is sufficient demand to do so.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Season Ticket Holder Promotion
vs Doncaster Rovers, Saturday 4th February 2006

Season Ticket Holders will be offered the opportunity to bring up to FOUR friends or family for just £5 PER PERSON.

In due course, the club will be sending out an application form to each season ticket holder and all the club asks is that those persons invited by the season ticket holders are not already on the STFC Database.

The club anticipates sending the forms out early in the New Year so look out for more information on this initiative soon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Mini Ticket Bundles
vs Barnsley 26th November, Blackpool 17th December, Colchester United 26th December

Adults will be able to purchase a ticket for all of these games for just £50 in the Arkells and Nationwide Stands and £39 in the Town End.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For more information, or to book tickets, please contact the STFC Box Office on 0870 443 1894.

Very good ideas and a good time to initiate as well.  Just before Christmas to remind people that what they really want for Christams is a 1/2 season ticket.  They should follow up this good idea by announcing that 1/2 season tickets are available to buy for Christmas and nag your parents/friends/family to get you one etc over the tannoy.

It's good to hear the club coming out with good ideas, Devlin is probably behind it I would guess. Let's hope they work for the club, and people make the most of the offers.

He won't be able to get a ticket unless he is at a primary school in the Swindon area though...

However if we are losing you could stand at the back shouting FIVE POUNDS?!

Sorry to intrude on this thread, but I thought I should let you know that you will be able to purchase tickets on The Stratton Bank at the Barnsley game. Priced the same as the Town End. We decided to do this in case ( and it always happens) there are any additional people who want to attend with those who bought their tickets through the schools. However we are unable to offer these tickets in advance, so it will be pay on the day. Hope this helps.
