Has now been shortlisted to 7. Not very impressive IMO.

Mazda 5

Renault Clio

Toyota Yaris

VW Passat

If I had to vote it would have to be the alfa for me.

I'd have the Alfa cos it's cool, but would fall to bits and the BMW because it solid as a rock, the little cars are OK, the AYgo/C1/107 is a pretty sweet little car.  The european car of the year is always a fairly run of the mill vehicle which all of those are.  I'd back the Passatt to win.

New Clio will probably get it - its predecessors have won it.

Although seeing recent trends it'll be the C1 for being far too small and as economical as fluffy puppies - but it's not any good.

Yaris has also won it before, as has a previous Alfa.

I agree with Dave though, cars are getting uglier again based on that look.

Indeed, a cool looking car and that class seems to have been bypassed with the nominations.

Silver is the colour of choice for press release pics.

Do you not like the front on that Alfa? That is devine in my opinion.

Nope - It's square, Americanised and probably creates a lot of wind noise...
