Its not like the townend is a huge stand that could collapse at anytime, its a dinky little thing. Its pathetic that you can't stand up,the atmosphere is a bit better then.I suggest someone writes to the club, asking for half the seats in there to be ripped out.So theres terracing for you yobbos on one side and seats for the others that like to sit down on the other side (Going back to the funny man,the best bit was when he got escorted out, he chucked his BHS bag on the floor like he was having a playschool tantrum and started kicking it )

Surely it would be harder for a medical team to get to people if everyone was sat down :-))( I was about to post exactly the same thing

Tony Blair was on Football Focus yesterday and got asked about terracing and if it could ever come back and the answer was a simple "NO".
I know why it was got rid of after Hillsborough etc, but I used to prefer standing so much more, better atmosphere etc. And a lot of the lower league clubs still have terracing anyway so I can't see why clubs at our level couldn't go back to terracing providing it meets safety requirements etc. Sadly I know that will never happen.

myself and leggett were sat just behind him, i'm not sure if he was drunk or mental (the line seems to blur a bit these days). we assumed he was mental... his stunt with the toilet roll was amazing.
he was causing absolutely no harm to anyone, infact he was being taunted for being mental/drunk and causing some life from the left side of the town end.
i really do wish the stewards would actually go after morons who pick fights instead of people that stand up or have had a few too many brain cells destroyed. anyone could see that this bloke yesterday was going to cause no trouble so it was just a petty act to make the yellow coat wearing bastards feel big and clever.
if anyone feels strongly enough about this as i do i suggest writing to the the club and complaining about steward 37. a) she's a cock b) she tries to make me sit down c) she throws harmless people out d) she's one of very few people that would sleep with leggett and the sexual tension is not pleasant cunt. glad you fucked off back east son ol' pat butcher is a bellend, she seems to be the only one who takes the sitting down thing seriously, nobody else gives a fuck.

Tony Blair really did give a very defiant no to terracing, bit of a shame, but then he is a plastic fan.

Yeah I saw Pat Butcher in there ... she was getting loads of stick and rightly so ... they want us to be loud and proud and when we do they want to chuck us out and ban us??
This club needs to get its act together on PR .. start by sacking FAT PAT!

The problem with the standing issue is that the licensing authority are really coming down on clubs to ensure persistent standing is stamped out. If you look at other clubs, all their fans complain as well and several clubs have had their away ticket allocations cut in half becuase of away fans standing as well (Man Utd at Middlesboro for example).
As much as it's a stupid rule, there is nothing the club can do - one Chairman came out and agreed with terracing and promptly got censured by all and sundry (and the club probably has more focus on it by the licensing auth as a result).
Personally, I think it would be interesting to see the hole rule challenged by a fans group on the basis that they find every moment in the 90 minutes exciting (because for some bizarre reason you can stand when it gets exciting and suddenly it's all safe to do so!).
The very best that can be arranged at the mo is for an area to be designated by the club, such as Nat side of TE. In that section a slight relaxing of the interpretation of "exciting" monents can be applied allowing for longer periods of standing. That overcomes the small problem of some people complaining about people standing by knowing which specific spot not to by tickets for.

Maybe you lot should start singing "I'm so excited and I just can't hide it" this will have two effects, the stewards will think, "oh, they're all excited so they can stand up" and the away fans will think you're a bunch of batty boys. Which would be quite funny.
Just an idea.
