A DISAPPOINTING performance from Town on Saturday but by no means the end of the world with three key players absent.


I think the player we are crying out for most was playing for Swindon.


That's Andy Gurney, who scored the penalty.


He ran everything in midfield and in my opinion would be ideal for us.


He sat just in front of the back four, won the ball and played it simple.


He's on loan from Swansea and if funds become available for Mr Jackson in January then I think he'd be someone to consider.

He's looked much better in midfiled under Iffy than at any point with King.  Still a bit gobby etc. but a vast improvement.

I think his name will be one of the first on the teamsheet until he goes, if he does, can't see Swansea needing him really.

When he plays it simple he is the player we've been missing, when he tries the 'hollywood' balls we copuld do without, but I think he's learning that himself now, would you believe. :shock:

He's got better with fitness, IMO.  When he has his first start back from Swans I thought he was awful - but on Saturday he seemed to have a little bit more confidence about him, and thankfully some legs.  I have to admit, when I first saw the team, I thought Iffy was going to play a five-man defence, but didn't turn out that way.

I think the thing that still winds me up about him is his rashness - he goes in and doesn't think about the consequences, even if he's hanging on with a yellow card and a last warning from the ref.

As long as he keeps a lid on his temper, though ... I hope he's back to his Leeds/Elland Road best.

I went so mad at the free kick that I elbowed some old bird in the head with my elbow ... quality stuff.

Was utterly fucked off after until some fella in the crowd - rightly - pointed out that they'd done brilliantly to hold Leeds and we should praise them for that. One of the best things anyone ever said to me at footy.
