I'm pleased for Brighton and their fans.....they got shat on from a very great height over the Goldstone, and it was only the resilience of their hardcore fans which managed to keep the club alive......which is as it should be.
We've had a few skirmishes with them down the years.....but there's nowt wrong with that.
It also is another example to our sadly incompetent council of just how more or less every other significant town or city in the land realise the worth of an FC and are prepared to help it out.
Those who still harbour a grudge because of the PO, need to consider that following that path makes you look like a Gills fan.....and they're just about the saddest lot in the country.

Lets not forget though Reg that it's taken a lot of hard work to get this application passed. The Council may be publicily showing support but the planning process has had to use every available avenue to get permission. Shows there should always be hope of getting developments signed off provided you are willing to negotiate and work hard over it.

What was the time frame from plan submission at that site, to two jags saying yes?
Just wonder how long it could take if opposition to our CG plans kicks up. Of course it surely has to be esier to redevelop than move from that point of view, doesn't it.??
