i fooking hate shearer, hes one of the dirtiest players around but as soon as anything happens to him he goes off on one. its about time someone got one over on him
Spot on Whits, I feel exactly the same about the bloke. Remember that time when Keane went off on one and you could almost see Shearer fill his pants??? Keane would kill Shearer. I'd love those two to become managers and have a scrap!!

I remember Whittle playing for Stoke at the CG a few seasons ago and funnily enough one of our boys got sent off for smaking him in the chops (The Chief possibly?) He got a load of stick for the rest of the game as it looked like he had faked it but seeing the replay later, whoever it was had given him a good old whack. I think it was the Chief, or maybe it was Thorne. Anyone else remember that? Reg?

The chief did seem to get a red card for an innocuous incident one match, maybe stoke, dunno if it was the same game we won 1-0 with a very rare mark robinson winner?

May have been a different game but I remember him drilling one in from the right hand edge of the box low into the bottom corner at the town end, just think it may have been that game. Mark Robinson being one of my favourite players of the time possibly contirbutes to me remembering his goal

I've just looked it up. I think the sending off took place in the 96-97 season when Thorne got the winner in a 1-0 win. The next season was when Robbo got the winner in another 1-0 win.
I am a very sad fucker :|

whittle is a pretty decent defender at this level, i've seen him play for hull and grimsby and he looked quite solid.
