When the earthquake happened could people feel the rumble or was it too far under water?
I don't think the rumble could be felt, yet the earth is supposed to have moved a couple of inches from the power of it. So, don't really know how that works.
That's what they say about Tsunamis. If you can see a big fuck off wave there is no time to escape it! They travel too quickly
you don't get to see the wave until it gets close to the shore; until then it's moving virtually undetected under the surface of the water at about 500mph close to the point of the eruption. thats why boats out around the area close to the fault zone were unaffected, they would have barely noticed the ship bobbing a bit more than usual.
