People always find it surprising when an under 25 drinks bitter, seen as an old mans drink i suppose but it tastes so much better than lager.

Ah, yes.  The Check Inn is a favourite of CAMRA, and is only a 2 minute car journey of a lunchtime.

I've been in the Gluey a couple of times, which was ok... opted for the mildly amusing "Leg Before Whippet".

True.  All male relatives in my family drink proper ale though "none of that chemicals crap", so it was only natural that i followed suit.

I do drink like a refreshing lager though, and am very partial to the more extravagant ciders on offer.

I can't stand lagers so I've always drank ales and bitters.

I used to drink John Smiths as it was easy to down when others wanted to leave the pub etc.
