I've got an interview for a temp to perm position on Friday afternoon. Looks like a good company to get in with. Can anyone give me some inside info? At the moment I don't even know where the building is..!

I was offered a job there, apparently something to do with Zurich, I was advised that they were slave drivers, the job they offered me was figure based checking data, so out of boredom I turned it down.  The hourly rate was good, perhaps relating to how tough the job was.

Threadneedle have nothing to do with Zurich, anymore.  It used to be a part of Allied Dunbar, which was then taken over by Zurich.  However a couple of years ago Threadneedle was sold off to American Express.

They're based at Signal Point, the building above the Train Station.  They're an asset management company dealing with Personal Investment Bonds, ISA's PEPs, Unit Trusts that kinda thing.

I don't know anyone who works there though.  Sorry bud.

i know 6 people that work there and they don't like it whatsoever. Ever since the 'bank of new york' took them over they lost all bonus' and has gone downhill....but hey thats only people I know. You may find it different and enjoy it!

To be honest BR that's the way of the financial services sector at the moment.  In the early mid 90's it was a good place to work, big bonuses, nice packages, now after bad results in late 90's firms had to tighten their belts, ie redundancies and cost cutting .

Hopefully give it a little while and the results will improve again.  It'll do for a while won't it, see how it goes, at least get the job then make a decision.

Exactly. Apparently the company go through lots of temps because they give it a day or so then leave. The people I know there have been working there for approx 3 years- so it can't be that bad!

Its above the train station, in the tall building. Everytime there's a bomb scare in the station the whole of threadneedle gets evacuated for at least 3 hours. Another good point is that the GW is opposite! (Nice Pub).
