when i was out on the beer in Oxford i always used to buy cheesy chips with beans on. fuck me they were ace and just what you needed after coming out of the pubs

Dazzza may sympathise with this being a former Hull dweller.
Mayo on chips with chip spice is the real business!
Chip spice is a blend of spices like salt and paprika etc. and is widely available in Hull, but in my experience no-where else in the country.
If you ever find any you must try it! 100% chief and absolutely lovely stuff. Mate has a link where you can get it off the Tinternet, I'll get it off him and post it. Must get round to getting some myself. In Oz they wacked this 'chicken salt' on everything which was not quite as Hull chip spice but is definately worthy of a mention. Fishfingers, butter (no marge crap), single slice of bread and brown sauce = perfection.
