Carroll had it covered and video replays would have backed this up. Anti-United propaganda, that's all it is.
FACT.

I didn't see it but seeing as it is Spurs, it was definitely a goal, no question, across the line? If the net wasn't there it'd have been in the stand. The ref got confused cos it rebounded off of the back of the net, I am sure of it.

Definately a goal, it was at least 2 feet over the line.

I know it's unreasonable to think this would happen in the mega-bucks world of the Premiership, but Carroll could have made himself a hero by admitting that the ball had gone over the line and giving Spurs the goal.
Di Canio got a special award from FIFA when he stopped for an injured player instead of scoring a certain goal a couple of years ago. I'm sure Carroll would have got one too.

I found it to be fucking hilarious, perhaps because I was under the influence at the time. I was sitting in the pub next to a Spurs fan and he was not a happy chappy. Abysmal work by the ref and linesman, but what really worries me is how a sunday league keeper managed to get into Man Utd's side.

This incident opens up all sorts of debates and issues about the use of technology in the modern game, professional referees, the honesty of players and so on and so forth.
First and foremost though, it was as funny as fuck.

This anti Man Utd stuff is getting really boring, the fact is goals have not been given in the passed, remember Chesterfield's goal against Boro in the semi of the cup? It was a mistake by the ref/line-o, not a pro Boro ref, just a mistake. Football's full of them, get used to it.

Oh and on the same subject bet none of you (that are old enough) were complaining about goals given when they shouldn't have been in 1966, unless you're J1mmy's dad.

It's not anti-Man. Utd, it's highlighting the woeful inability of just three men to fairly adjudicate a football match.
